HalloweenCome for a night of fun and frights at the Kleeman Community Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane. The carnival will take place Friday, October 26th from 6:00pm to 10:00pm.

Kids of all ages can enjoy inflatables, a haunted maze, refreshments, and more- at no cost!

Last Chance to Visit the Clarksville Downtown Market this Season

Clarksville Downtown MarketSince its opening, the Clarksville Downtown Market has been a success- so much so that it was voted the number one market in Tennessee through America?s Farmland Trust, three years in a row! Don?t miss your chance to visit the Clarksville Downtown Market on its last day of the season, Saturday, October 20th.

The market will be open from 8:00am to 1:00pm, on Public Square. Come out to see all the wonderful fall produce the market has to offer. Bring the kids, ages 12 and under, to enjoy free pumpkin painting from 9:00am to noon, and come and do some early Christmas shopping!

Storytellers at Kleeman

LEAP OrganizationChildren and parents can enjoy interactive story time as the storytellers from L.E.A.P. (Leadership Enlightenment Academic Achievement and Perseverance) bring to life stories from cultures across the Globe. Program is held at the Kleeman Community Center once a month.

Join us October 22nd from 6:00pm-7:00pm, to hear ?Discover America State By State Alphabet Series? Event is free. Community Center ID card is required.

Fright on Franklin Costume Contest Deadline Approaching

The 4th Annual Fright on Franklin, presented by City of Clarksville and Planter?s Bank, will once again offer safe trick-or-treating. Local businesses will line the streets in Downtown Clarksville on Saturday, October 27th to hand out candy and other treats. Fright on Franklin activities will begin at 3:00pm with the Costume Contest kicking off at 4:00pm.

Contest participants must register by 4:30pm, October 25th at the Parks and Recreation office or online at recpro.cityofclarksville.com. The contest is free to enter and open to ages 0 to 12. Prizes will be awarded. Register early, only the first 50 registrants will be accepted for each age group.

Try Scuba

Scuba Diving LessonsThe Indoor Aquatic Center will hold an introductory class the 1st Saturday of every month from 1:00pm to 4:00pm, beginning November 3rd, 2012 thru April 6th, 2013. The class is for those individuals who are interested in getting a taste of the scuba experience and an overview of what is involved in Scuba Certification. Class is $25.00 and is open to ages 10 and up.

Swim Lesson begin November 5th

Indoor Aquatic Center - New ProvidenceNow that the new Indoor Aquatic Center has opened, the first session of swim lesson classes are scheduled to begin November 5th. Six comprehensive course levels, Mommy & Me, Pre-school, and Adapative sessions, for those with mental or physical disabilities, are available to teach you, your child or other family members how to swim safely and with skill.

Classes are held weekdays and times vary according to class level. Cost is $15.00 per two-week session with the purchase of a pool pass or $35.00 without. Register online today at recpro.cityofclarksville.com
