The Fruit?s Market is ideal in this regard. It runs along some ancient streets, which means that the children can stretch their legs while be inundated with local culture. The market itself is vibrant and bright, and is likely to please children. Keep little ones close though. A picnic of fresh fruit can also be a great idea on a warm summer?s day.
Bavice Beach
Bavice beach is the perfect family destination in Split. You can expect great sandy beaches, water sports, hiking, and a leisure park. Think of it as an outdoor paradise for the whole family. Many visitors like the idea of a good old family picnic, but you can also visit any of the local restaurants if you so wish. There are also facilities for the disabled, which means that if you are travelling with any disabled family members they need not be excluded in any way.
Dioceltian?s Palace
Instilling a sense of culture from a young age will breed a confident, humble adult. The palace itself is ancient and most impressive, and forms another complete day out. You may expect protests from very young children, but from age 8 upwards, spinning the mystery and wonder of Ancient Rome should create the right kind of appeal. Take it slow, persevere, and enjoy your family.
