THE CALGARY OFFICE

Our Calgary based Oil & Gas office manages a variety of small, medium and large scale projects, serving the global oil and gas industry.?Hatch is expanding services in the Oil Sands and In Situ regional markets and we also use our local resources and expertise to support international assignments directed from this office. Our clients include many of the most active and successful energy companies in the Alberta marketplace.

THE POSITION

?

Reporting to the Director of Operation Services, the Operational Readiness Manager will participate in a number of Brownfield and Greenfield Oil Sands and In Situ projects.

?

Principal Responsibilities:


  • Develop Operational Readiness organization structure.
  • Effective planning and scheduling of projects and resources.
  • Lead Operational Readiness Client evaluations and generate findings reports
  • Prepare detailed Execution Plans, including schedules to cover all aspects of Operational Readiness and start up according to the project scope.
  • Work within an integrated project team that includes client, designers, vendors, contractors, and construction personnel.
  • Ensure TCCC activities are completed in accordance with Client deliverables expectations.
  • Resolve all challenges encountered during pre/commissioning and start up phases in conjunction with Project and Construction personnel.
  • Manage and ensure field engineered solutions do not negatively affect the overall plant integrity and safety.
  • Prepare various status reports to support the overall Project Controls needs.
  • Implement Safety Management Programs to support field activities.
  • Develop Operations and Maintenance procedures to support Operational Readiness activities
  • Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team of technical and maintenance resources.
  • Building strong and collaborative relationships with other Operations Services resource centers.

Qualifications:


  • A bachelor?s degree in engineering is required. Engineering Technologists with extensive related experience may also be considered.
  • 5+ years experience in commissioning of process assets. Operations or facility Turnaround management experience would be desirable.
  • Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team of project engineers, equipment vendors and specialists, operations and maintenance personnel.
  • Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with SAP, LiveLink and MS Office suite of products ?
  • Able to work and communicate directly with the Client on key project design requirements
