ADVENTURE CHALLENGE

? 2012 Jason Dahlke Memorial Adventure Challenge, June 2, 10 a.m., Fort McAllister, Richmond Hill. While distances will not be disclosed, as is part of the challenge of the race and due to varying distances based on navigation skills, competitors can expect approximately 4-6 miles of trekking, 12-15 miles of biking and 1-2 miles of kayaking. ? Tunnel to Towers Run Savannah, 8 a.m. Sept. 15, 5K race starting and finishing at Orleans Square next to the Savannah Civic Center. The Tunnel to Towers Run was created to honor Stephen Siller, one of 343 New York City firefighters who sacrificed their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. All of the proceeds from the Savannah run will go to ?Building for America?s Bravest? through the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. These funds will be used to build Smart Homes for two severely wounded veterans in Georgia: U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Mike Schlitz of Columbus and U.S. Marine Cpl. Todd Love of Atlanta.
