Almost a hundred years after it was written, Dale Carnegie?s ?How to Win Friends and Influence People? is still a best seller. It ranks third behind the Bible and the Dictionary in all time best sellers. And for good reason. Carnegie recognized when he began teaching Public Speaking in 1912 the principles that would help hundreds of thousands of people better themselves. Was he writing something that Aristotle, Confucius, Plato, and Socrates missed? Hardly. He just related more effectively to the masses. He, and countless like him, communicate similar self-improvement techniques.
What a bonus I received when I invited a Dale Carnegie trainer on the Cucina Chatter Radio program and she asked to bring a franchise owner, and he showed up with a program graduate! Four of us exchange information and our personal perspective on the Dale Carnegie program. The goal is to offer you encouragement and takeaways that you can implement immediately.
My trio of in-studio guests hung out at the virtual kitchen table to help co-host the remainder of the show as we ventured onto Good Writer?s Block with Jim Vanore, listened to the Rhonda File sent by Rhonda Fink Whitman, and got a Taste4Travel with our culinary tour guide Chef Jacquie.
If you?ve taken a Dale Carnegie course or anything similar, please share your experience, good or bad, with our readers.
Mangia & Enjoy!
