Feng Shui by Sakura ? Blog Archive ? Spring is in the air

Extra tips to your prolong and enhance your Spring cleaning

?

Currently the newspapers and magazines are running articles on spring cleaning, de-cluttering and getting ready for a hot and active Summer. They offer good tips. Physical Spring cleaning and de-cluttering will improve the energy in your home, but have you noticed how quickly the energy can stagnate in a matter of weeks? If you want that lasting zing to your efforts, the other tip I have (after your physical cleaning) is to try burning a white sage smudge stick with the intent to clear negative energetic influences in your home.

Once you open the doors and windows to release the smoke and energy with it, select your favourite essential oils to maintain the mood you are trying to convey. You can burn or vapourise them in the air. For example, d?TERRA CITRUS BLISS to reinvirgorate and lift moods, d?TERRA SERENITY to calm and restore or try a single favourite oil that is pleasing to your nose. By doing these last 2 steps you will notice a pleasant shift that is longer lasting. You will feel the difference immediately.

Each home has an astrology chart. For uplift in energy that lasts all year, a targeted energy chart that provides advice for improving energy in your home is recommended. In Chinese it is called Flying Star Feng Shui and it can tell you the energy and influences your home will have on you and those who live there.

Like the articles you read in the paper and magazines, mainstream books on Feng Shui provide great hints and tips, but because everyone?s home has a different build date, front facing compass orientation, landscape features and floor plan layout, the advice given is generic and broad brush. Having your own independent and tailored consultation will mean you will know whether you can put a mirror in a certain space or decorate with certain objects and colours even though a book may recommend you cannot.

I have received great feedback on these tips from clients and friends that have done the above and also have my own personal experiences to boast. If you would like to chat about it further, please feel free to contact me.
